It was just another hot July day until the squirt gun comes out.

Its Winter again and of course the dogs just can't wait until the snow starts flying, whether its chasing snowballs or taking a self inflicted white wash the dogs just can't get enough of the fluffy white stuff.

Santa has just made his first annual stop to Desert Dog to spread wisdom, drink hot cider, deliver presents and of course pose for pictures with the dogs.

The owners 

One of the many small things that makes Desert Dog so unique is the fact that the whole roof drains into the outside yard giving the dogs an additional yet simple form of entertainment.  A couple times a year we get a good storm that will flood the outside yard and turn the dogs into crazed maniacs, have a look.

There's just something about bad weather just drives them crazy.

Yes! we were actually trying to fill the kiddie pool with that garden hose during the rainstorm.

After 4 years and 500,000 piles of poop we finally decided its time to replenish the pea gravel in the outside yard.  Its just bringing back such fond memories of back aches, sore elbows, blisters and much more pleasantries that come with spreading a dump truck sized load of gravel over 2,000 square feet of asphalt.  

The dogs are dirty we are dirty they're tired we are tired, but in the end its just not that bad because the dogs truly love it and there's something about a huge load of gravel that makes them break out in crazy chases, king of the hill matches and other lunatic behavior that keeps them happy and keeps us laughing.

Morgan really tires after pushing most the dogs off the top of the hill but he just couldn't get his admirer Ginger to leave his side.

New comer Matt Damon has no problem acting cool on top of the gravel, how could you not with a name like that.
